The Academy Awards!
Each year the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences issues awards to recognize the best achievement in various fields of the movie industry. All the stars get dressed up and celebrate the year in motion pictures.
As we approach the Academy Awards, why not host a competition in your school and bring the fun of that event to your students? Have a competition to recognize the best achievement in various aspects of our industry. At the close of the competition, have all the students get dressed up and attend an awards ceremony.
Last year, just before the academy awards, I blogged and suggested you create a competition that coincides with the Academy Awards.
This year, as the Academy Awards approach, I realize that not all of you may have time to stop and create a contest, so I want to help you.
Here are directions for an Academy Awards contest that you can hold in your school.
The Academy Awards are televised live on Sunday, February 9. So, you will want to get started on this right away!
One more suggestion is to give the students some inspiration, you might show the students a video from the North America Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) for the 2020 NAHA Finalists.
