Become a Milady RISE Partner School

Raise awareness of domestic abuse and human trafficking, provide a resume-builder for your students, and differentiate your school—all by participating in this program. Did we mention it’s free and you don’t have to be a Milady school?!

Once approved, your students will get access to 3 certification courses: Infection Control (2-hours), Domestic Abuse Awareness (1-hour), and Human Trafficking Awareness (0.5-hour), a $29.95 value. Upon successful completion, your future professionals will be better equipped to not only provide safe services but also make a real impact by safely referring and giving voice to the most vulnerable. Students will also receive a PDF for each certification course in addition to their Milady RISE Certification in Client Well-Being and Safety.

After they are certified, they are eligible to apply for one of 20 $500 scholarships given yearly through the Milady RISE Scholarship!

What are the requirements to become a Milady RISE Partner School?
You need to represent a beauty school or chain of schools (accredited or working toward accreditation). We will ask your school representative to participate in a yearly survey related to the RISE Certification, the needs of your school and students, and other relevant questions.
How long does the application take to be approved?
Once you submit your online application, we will review it and get back to you within two weeks. Once approved, you will receive instructions on how to provide free access to your students.
How is the Milady RISE Certification in Client Well-Being and Safety structured?
This online certification is self-paced, and students will have 30 days from code redemption to complete it. It includes the following courses:
• Practical Infection Control (2 hours)
• Domestic Abuse Awareness (1 hour)
• Human Trafficking Awareness (0.5 hour)
Each course comes with an individual certificate of completion. Once all three courses are completed, your student will receive their Milady RISE Certification in Client Well-Being & Safety.
What will be the experience for my students?
Your school representative will receive a unique link for your school to share with students as a required or optional assignment. Once accessed, students will create a free (or use their existing) MiladyTraining.com account and enroll in the certification course at no cost (a $29.95 value). Students will have 30 days to complete their course. Upon completion, they will receive a Milady RISE Certificate that can be downloaded as a PDF or shared as a web link (see example).
What control will my instructors have?
Your instructors can verify students’ course completion with the PDF certificate submitted by their students or by going directly to the certificate’s web link (see example).
Can our school/instructors enroll students in the Milady RISE Certification in Client Well-Being and Safety and see students’ progress?
